Videography Intern

About this role:

As a Videographer Intern, you will be responsible for capturing high-quality footage for our projects. This role offers the chance to work on diverse and creative projects, enhancing your skills in videography. Although this is an unpaid position, there is potential for it to transition into a paid role. You will receive real credit for your work and the opportunity to build a strong portfolio.

objectives:

  • Gaining practical experience: Assist experienced videographers on shoots to learn camera operation and lighting techniques. Practice shooting footage independently and review it for improvement.

  • Capturing and editing video footage: Edit video footage under the guidance of experienced editors. Experiment with different editing styles and techniques to enhance storytelling.

  • Collaborating with the team: Attend meetings and contribute ideas for video concepts and storyboards. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure everyone is aligned on project goals.

  • Building a portfolio: Document all video projects and organize them into a professional portfolio. Include a variety of projects that showcase different aspects of videography.

  • Learning to use video editing software: Take online courses or tutorials to learn video editing software. Practice editing footage regularly to improve skills.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with professional video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro).

  • Experience with professional cameras and videography equipment.

  • Strong understanding of lighting, composition, and visual storytelling.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Location description:

Please note that we currently do not have a brick-and-mortar location. Most of our work is done remotely, and we will provide a call sheet for filming days with specific locations.

We do, however, hold cafe meetings twice a week. It is essential to arrive on time for these meetings as they are important for team collaboration and planning.
