The Extraordinary Independent Film Festival (EIFF) believes in playing movies that are entertaining and socially relevant. We keep this event free because the more folks we have in the house, the more eyes will get to see these films. The evening will include short films and trailers and we will focus on local independent filmmakers from Chicago.
We will screen multiple films including "Karen" by Tarleton/Dawn Productions, which has been accepted by numerous festivals around the world;the trailer for the up and coming movie "Eyes Upon Waking", which has been racking up award wins on the festival circuit, and the film's star and producer Jennifer Scott will also be in attendance; Sarah Falkiner's film "White Female", which deals with race in an unusual way, and a full program of films that deal with different cinematic interpretations of social justice will also be screened. The program will run about an hour and thirty minutes, and the event is free!
This year, EIFF will be culminating with the world premiere of "Communified" a short film produced by: Anton Mitchell, Tommy Sigmon, Emmanuel Stewart, Justin Mobley, Roche Chi-town and Associate Producer Roshawn Boiling.
After the festival, you can meet the Communified cast and all the filmmakers in the Carbon Arc Bar, which is in the Davis Theater lobby.
EIFF welcomes everyone and looks forward to filling the house!
