Hello, y’all!

Yes, I am writing how I speak, and yes I am aware that is not great. I am trying to give my authentic self to these experiences. I am someone who likes to put myself out there. Like a lot. It doesn’t always work in my favor but when it does it feels magical! I am been looking for events tailored to filmmakers in the city of Chicago because that is where I currently live. I am also super interested in building a strong community for the projects that I want to create and building genuine relationships with people helps achieve that.

I usually find about events on Instagram through friends either hosting these events themselves or promoting them for a friend. I definitely always try to come through if I can. I also like to look on Eventbrite the most. I like to go to events smaller people host and people together. You have a better chance of getting to speak to all of the people in the room.

I mostly look to network because as I said before I have projects that I want to work on and get help with. I also want to be a part of other people’s projects. It is exciting to be on the journey doing what you love.

I will be posting local events and hosting my own events. There are four really dope events that I am interested in going to.
